A Little Deserved Recognition

Last fall my roommate, Aaron, had an internship creating videos for prospective students who were interested in Dordt College. These videos were about 1 minute long and gave students an idea of how their education would deepen in their particular field of study if they attended Dordt.

Central to Aaron's success were of course, the college students that particiapted in his videos. Whether Aaron recruited me because I'm really, really, really, ridiculously good-looking, or because I was his roommate and always around, I'll never know (I believe it is the first reason rather than the second).

Aaron worked very hard to produce nine videos for the website and during the Christmas break his videos were finally loaded onto the Dordt College Website. Aaron chose thumbnails from each video. It just so happens that the HPER video's thumbnail is, in fact, me. I suggest you watch the videos because he did a great job.

Also, if you receive the Dordt College Voice I strongly urge you to read Aaron's article on page 2 explaining the process he went through as well as his future ambitions about video production.

Shout outs

I've been told I need to blog more. I replied that I don't have much to talk about, other than our current 12-2 basketball team ranked 4th in the nation in NAIA div. II.

So Joey, I'm using your idea and thanking everyone who came to our games in Chi-town before Christmas break. To my family, Dad and Mom, Joe, Susan, Chris, John and Mary. And to my friends, Joey, Dave, J-Klo, Steve, Curt, Paul, Andy, Ty and Sara. It was great having you guys there and I'm glad that you could see my play, and that I could have a good game.

As for basketball, we are beginning a second semester of basketball with aspirations of not repeating what happened last year, a very dismal 2nd half of the season. It is my ambition that we remain on top of the conference so that Dordt can finally be crowned Men's Basketball Conference Champions.

This one time I do have something more to inform you of. I will be beginning my internship at Interstates Engineering in their Human Resource Department this Tuesday. I'm looking forward to gaining experience (as well as a regular paycheck) in order to prepare myself for this thing called the "real world" that I hear so much about.
