The Chronicles of My Trip
I arrived safetly last night in Escondido, California at my new house. Although it's not really my house, the bedroom in the front corner of the house is.
I departed home on Sunday night to John & Mary's house in Indiana. From there, I left early the next morning and was on the road for 15 hours, driving through Illinois, Missouri and to western Oklahoma (Clinton, OK).
The next morning I left Clinton and traveled for 17 hours. Through Texas and New Mexico and to the western side of Arizona. Evidently, Texas and New Mexico have a monsoon season during this time of the year because I drove through a lot of it. I shouldn't say that I drove for 17 hours, I did stop for one hour at the world's largest meteor crater. An ginormous hole in the ground in the middle of nowhere, and by nowhere, I do mean nowhere.
Day three started in Kingman, Arizona, about 10 more hours of being on the road. Slight "issues" or "problems" with the engine temperature which were solved with a short stop to cool it down at the top of the mountain and then again to by coolant. And a stop in Irvine, "spoiled brats in Irvine", to drop of some furniture for a mutual friend.
Then it was on to my final destination. A nice jaunt down the pacific coastline and then inland to Escondido. Unloaded the truck and started unpacking my boxes, which could turn out to be a long term project because I don't like unpacking.
