Hole in One!!!

Each time I go golfing with friends I say to my self, "Self," thats what I call my self, Self. "Self, could this be the day that just once things happen my way? The ball rests on the tee in the perfect way, my iron selection was right, I keep my left arm straight and my head down through my backswing, I turn my hips at the right time, but not my wrists, and my follow through is picture perfect? I think what if the wind is just right, and what if the ball takes a 3 or 4 perfect bounces on the green and slowly makes it's way to the cup and suddenly disappears to it's final destination? Could this day, Monday, June 19, 2006, possibly be the day that I will be able to write a "1" in the score box for a par 3 hole?

Nope. Not tonight. No hole in one for me.

But I still hold on to the possibility. After all, I was there when my brother John had a hole in one at Grand Prairie Golf Course. We thought we lost his ball, but he checked the cup, and sure enough, there was his ball, resting in the final position of his greatest golf shot ever. I still think, maybe one day this could happen to me.
